Annu Gupta is a committed young Kathak Performer based in New Delhi who has been practicing the beautiful dance form for past 10 years. She began her journey of learning Kathak professionally under the guidance of her Guru, Monisa Nayak, an accomplished Kathak Exponent of Jaipur Gharana. Her love for Kathak and passion to preserve the cultural heritage of the country has won her many accolades in a short span of time.

Born into a family being new to Classical Dance & Music, Annu got a beginner's exposure of Kathak through a month long workshop organized by NDMC, New Delhi. Her sincerity and devotion took her to new heights when she got selected for a month long prestigious National Level "Gurukul Anubhav Scholarship" by SPIC MACAY for Kathak. She then completed her Senior Diploma and Graduation in Kathak from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi and is now pursuing her Post Graduation in the same to understand and master the nuances involved.

She has recently started an initiative 'Anubhuti', that aims to inculcate life skills through Kathak Dance among under-served girls in remote rural communities and in urban-slum

Annu has also been performing as an accompany performer with her Guru at various Productions, Workshops and Lecture-Demonstrations across prime cities of the country including Kota, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Chhattisgarh, Garhwal, Uttarakhand, Cochin, Trivandrum and Delhi-NCR. She has also performed for National Human Right Commission, AIIMS, FICCI, Institute of Himalayan Bio-Resource Technology, Palampur and various other delegations.

She has been an active part of various productions including 'Nartan', 'Kathak-Utsav', 'Nav-Pallav', 'Kathak-Darpan', 'Krishna-Nartan' and 'Khanak-Dhara', organized by KHANAK Institute of Performing Arts, New Delhi. She has also conducted workshops upto one month long duration in association with NDMC, New Delhi; Aavishkaar, Palampur and Deer Park Institute, Bir, Himachal Pradesh.
